Welcome to our new website!

Welcome to the new Greater City Aquarium Society of New York website.

What you see before you is the result of the combined efforts of Justin Tucker, our talented and resourceful developer from Perfectly Optimized, Jason Kerner, Greater City’s tech guru and yours truly. I am pleased to announce that, as a result of his continuing great work on the website, Jason has been “promoted” to Web Master. When you see Jason, please congratulate him and thank him for his terrific work on the new site.

Our goal was to create a website that was an update from the existing site and take advantage of any new technologies available to us since the creation of the first website. We also wanted to have a website that was easier to update with more control in our hands. To those ends, I believe we have succeeded.

I would be remiss if I did not recognize all the work Dan Radebaugh did in setting up and maintaining the first website. Like most technologies, time made changes necessary.

On the pages of our new website you will find a calendar of the dates for all our scheduled monthly meetings as well as information on where the meetings are held. There’s a new membership form that can be downloaded as well as the Breeder’s Award Program. There is a link that allows you to reach out to us with any questions or comments via email as well.

With time, our plans are to include pictures from our meetings as well as publishing articles submitted. We were very fortunate to have a group of great authors who regularly submitted articles for publication in our magazine, Modern Aquarium. Now that we are no longer publishing Modern Aquarium, we are hoping that we can publish and feature articles on our website. All you need to do is submit them to us as we are ready to begin posting them to our site. Articles can be sent to our new email address, www.greatercityaquariumsocietymail@gmail.com.

We are looking forward to your impressions of our new website and your article submissions.

Best regards,

Warren.
